Forward Operating Base Trapani celebrates 30th anniversary
A special anniversary ceremony was held today at Forward Operating Base (FOB) Trapani, which is located on the island of Sicily in Italy.
FOB Trapani is of high strategic value for the NATO AWACS. During 30 years of activity, the FOB provided support to several air operations. NATO AWACS flew missions from Trapani to former Yugoslavia and more recently Libya.
