DATC Spotter Day

The 46th Wing, the Air Combat Command (MACOM), and the Public Affairs Office of the Spanish Air Force are organizing a spotter's day on March the 1st, in order to offer professional and amateur photographers, who love aviation, the opportunity to see and take pictures of all the combat aircraft that are taking part in the Dissimilar Air Combar Training Campaign (DACT) 2016 that is going to be held at Gando Air Base (Gran Canaria, Canary Islands).

Participating aircraft will include F-16AM from Belgium, Mirage 2000C from France, a NATO E-3 SENTRY, A-4 Skyhawk from a private contractor, EF-18 Hornets (12th, 15th and 46th Wings), Eurofighter Typhoon (11th and 14th Wings), C-101 Aviojets (MATACAN), C-295 (35th Wing) and Super Puma and Persuader (802 Squadron).

The DACT (Dissimilar Air Combat Training) Campaign is developed and coordinated by the Spanish Air Force Combat Comand. The main goal of this exercice is the advanced training of fighter pilots in air combat tactics by using mock up air combats with dissimilar fighter.
